Thakurpukur murder, 26-year-old youth Killed in violent attack

A shocking murder case has emerged in the Thakurpukur area, as 26-year-old Animesh Singh fell victim to a fatal knife attack. The incident occurred around 8:30 am in the LIC Bazar area, leaving Animesh with severe chest injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival at SSKM Hospital.

The sudden and violent incident has deeply unsettled the community, with law enforcement swiftly apprehending 34-year-old Subal Sardar as a suspect. Subal's arrest followed an analysis of CCTV footage. The police are currently focused on determining the motive behind the attack and have initiated an investigation.

Animesh Singh, residing on Amrit Lal Mukherjee Road in Thakurpukur, had ventured out on his scooter that fateful morning. It is believed that the assailant, whose identity remains unknown, attacked him with a knife, leading to Animesh's critical injuries. Local residents immediately responded to the scene, but the perpetrator had already fled. Animesh's father, Ashok Singh, is devastated by the loss of his son.
